The Plough was purchased and refurbished by Theresa and Philip Walsh in April 2009. Featuring open log fires and lots of character The History of Plough dates back to the 1600's Our Restaurant has built an excellent reputation for serving top quality food and the bedrooms have been fully refurbished this year (2011), all with en-suite facilities,Wigglesworth lies on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. near to the thriving market towns of Settle, Skipton and Kirkby Lonsdale, and less than an hours drive from the Lake District and the forest of Bowland. It is a village that offers access to the heart of Yorkshire, Lancashire and Cumbria. There are plenty of activities to do and interesting places to visit in all weathers. It is an ideal centre for walking or touring holidays, open moorland, the hill slopes of the Pennines, caves and waterfalls are all within easy reach of The Plough Sporting and leisure activities are catered for locally including walking, pony trekking, mountain climbing, cycling, pot holing, fishing and golf.

Directions

Situated on the B6478, between Jack Lane and Church Lane, 3 minutes from Long Preston, 4 miles from Settle and 11 miles from Skipton.From the North take the A65 to Settle, pass the Craven Arms on the left, then take the next right to Rathmell and Wigglesworth, continue for approximately 4 miles. The Plough is on the right. From the East through Skipton take the A65 to Gargrave, Hellifield and Long Preston, as you come into Long Preston take the left turn into Mill Lane for the Station (There is a sign for the Station but Wigglesworth is not yet signed from here) Continue on the B6478 for 2 miles, The Plough is on the right as you come into Wigglesworth From the South Via Clitheroe. Take the A59. Turn left into Sawley. Turn sharp left past the Spread Eagle Pub, once over the bridge follow the road to the right to Bolton-By-Bowland, continue to the right at the Copy Nook Hotel then take the first left to Wigglesworth. Continue to the B6478, turn right then continue straight into Wigglesworth. The Plough is on the left.
